US Short Code Registry

For the US Short Code Registry, the goal was to create a platform that made it easier for businesses to search for, understand, and manage SMS short codes. I worked on the main site build and also collaborated with another developer to create an internal application that powered the site’s biggest feature: finding and validating short-code availability.

The application allowed users to:

Search 5–6 digit short codes

Look up patterns like sequential, easy-to-remember, or repeating numbers

Instantly check availability against the registry

Browse categorized results to discover alternative options

While the interface was designed to feel simple, the system handled a fair amount of logic and validation behind the scenes to ensure accuracy and speed.

This project stands out as a blend of clean UX, logical flow, and functional search tooling built directly into the site rather than relying on an external system.
