Coast Guard
The GoCoastGuard site served as a recruitment and information hub for individuals exploring careers and opportunities within the United States Coast Guard. Built on Drupal, the platform combined informational content, career pathways, training details, and applicant guidance. I contributed to the site through targeted feature development, new landing page builds, and enhancements to the component library.
Custom Landing Pages & Design Implementation
A large part of my work involved building new landing pages aligned with updated design direction and recruitment messaging. These pages were structured to highlight benefits, career tracks, eligibility details, and pathways into active duty, reserves, and officer roles. I implemented design updates as reusable components so they could be repurposed across future campaigns.
Enhanced Functionality & Components
I expanded the site’s existing component system by adding new interactive and informational elements, improving layout flexibility, and ensuring editors could assemble pages without developer involvement. These enhancements helped the Coast Guard team tailor pages for specific recruitment campaigns or informational needs.
Support for User Engagement & Clarity
Because the site needed to clearly communicate requirements, training processes, and application steps, the work focused on clean structure, easy navigation, and clear presentation of key details. I helped refine these flows to make the user experience more intuitive for prospective recruits.
This project demonstrates my ability to step into an established Drupal environment and deliver new landing pages, design improvements, and functional enhancements for a high-visibility government site.
