National Fish & Wildlife Foundation
The National Fish & Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) needed a robust Drupal platform to highlight their conservation work, grant programs, and nationwide environmental impact. I led the entire Drupal build and continued as the primary developer for several years, expanding the site with new components, layouts, and functionality as their needs grew.
Automated External Grants Migration
One of the most important features was the automated migration system that pulled grant and project data from an external source. I architected a recurring data import pipeline that processed, transformed, and mapped these records into Drupal, allowing NFWF to keep their grants database current without any manual effort.
Interactive Project Map
To help users explore project activity across the United States, I built an interactive project map that visualized funded work by geography, program, habitat type, species, and other filters. This became a key storytelling tool for communicating the scale and reach of NFWF’s conservation initiatives.
Long-Term Enhancements & Support
After launch, I continued as the main developer, introducing new layouts, refining editorial tools, and enhancing performance. The platform evolved into a highly flexible publishing system capable of supporting a large volume of scientific content, reports, and program updates.
This project highlights my ability to deliver a full-scale Drupal platform and support it long-term through ongoing improvements, data integrations, and feature development.
