National League of Cities
For the National League of Cities (NLC), I served as the primary developer on a large, content-heavy WordPress build and continue to support the platform through maintenance, security updates, and new feature development. The site delivers extensive resources, advocacy materials, program content, and training guides for municipalities across the U.S.
Toolkit-Style Resource Experiences
A major part of my work involved creating toolkit-style experiences—structured, multi-step collections of guidance and best practices that walk users through specific initiatives. These toolkits include sections, actions, and supporting materials that help city leaders navigate complex topics in a clear, actionable way. Building these required flexible templating, custom layouts, and a structure that could scale as new toolkits were added.
Ongoing Development & Platform Support
Beyond the initial build, I’ve continued to take the lead on enhancements, addressing bugs, improving performance, tightening security, and refining UX patterns across the site. This long-term involvement ensures the platform remains stable, modern, and adaptable to NLC’s evolving content and program needs.
This project reflects my ability to lead a large WordPress implementation, while also delivering sophisticated, multi-layered content experiences that support a national organization.
