National Sleep Foundation
The National Sleep Foundation (NSF) is a well-known organization focused on sleep health, research, and public education. Their website contained a large volume of medically oriented content—articles, research summaries, sleep disorder guides, tools, and resources for both the public and professionals. I worked on their Drupal platform, helping support the structure and presentation of this content in a clear, accessible way.
Content-Rich Architecture for Health Information
The site relied heavily on structured content types to organize health topics, sleep science, expert advice, and consumer-facing resources. My work centered on building and refining Drupal templates, taxonomy systems, and layouts to ensure that the organization’s dense and high-credibility material was easy to navigate and understand.
User-Focused Tools & Editorial Flexibility
Sections like “Healthy Sleep Tips,” sleep disorder guides, and lifestyle resources required flexible layouts and reusable components so NSF could maintain and expand content over time. I implemented frontend and backend structures that allowed editors to publish new research, lifestyle guidance, and awareness campaigns without developer involvement.
Health-Focused UX & Accessibility
Given the subject matter and the broad audience—from medical professionals to the general public—the site emphasized clarity, accessibility, and ease of reading. I helped ensure the design system supported these priorities through clean typography, logical page structure, and responsive behavior.
This project highlights my experience working with large, health-oriented Drupal sites, balancing scientific accuracy, editorial needs, and public-facing usability.
