Welocalize

Welocalize, a global leader in translation and localization services, went through several rounds of design exploration before finalizing the direction for their new WordPress site. I was brought in during the final stretch to help translate the approved designs into a working, flexible, and scalable WordPress build.

Working Through Multiple Redesign Iterations

Because the design phase had evolved multiple times before development stabilized, a major part of my role was to work directly with the client to clarify expectations, validate feasibility, and ensure their evolving vision could be cleanly implemented within WordPress. This required a combination of technical problem-solving, UI/UX awareness, and the ability to quickly pivot as design changes came in.

Implementing New Layouts & Component Patterns

Once the final direction was approved, I developed a range of custom Gutenberg blocks, updated layout templates, and introduced new reusable UI components. These additions were built with longevity in mind so the Welocalize team could easily expand and maintain their site without relying on custom code for every change.

Finalizing the Build & Bringing the Site to Launch

After integrating the last set of layouts and functionality, the client finally had a version of the site that matched their expectations and was stable, performant, and ready to go live. My work provided the finishing layer that moved the project from “in progress” to “launch-ready.”

This project showcases my ability to jump into a complex, shifting redesign and deliver polished, production-ready WordPress components that help bring a large corporate site across the finish line.
